A classic mid-20th century anatomical reference, Anatomy of the Human Body by R. D. Lockhart, G. F. Hamilton and F. W. Fyfe remains one of the most respected British anatomy textbooks of its era. First published by Faber and Faber in 1959, this 1960 second impression presents a detailed and extensively illustrated study of the human body, covering muscular, skeletal, nervous and circulatory systems in depth.
Well regarded by medical students, anatomists and collectors of vintage medical books, Anatomy of the Human Body is notable for its clear text and striking anatomical illustrations. The red cloth binding with gilt lettering remains attractive, and the original dust jacket is present.
Published by Faber and Faber in London, Anatomy of the Human Body represents an important period in twentieth-century medical publishing and would make an excellent addition to a collection of vintage medical, scientific or anatomical works.
