Kings & Queens of England – Elegant 1980 Weidenfeld & Nicolson reprint of Antonia Fraser’s classic history of England’s monarchs.
1 in stock
A very attractive 1980 reprint of The Lives of the Kings & Queens of England, edited by Antonia Fraser and published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson, London. This substantial and richly illustrated volume traces the lives, reigns and personalities of England’s monarchs, from the earliest kings through to the modern royal family.
Featuring contributions from noted historians and heraldic consultant J. P. Brooke-Little, together with beautifully reproduced heraldic plates, the book is both an informative history and an elegant collector’s volume. The original purple cloth boards with bright gilt lettering to the spine are in very good condition, complemented by the original dust jacket which is likewise very good with only light wear.
This 1980 reprint carries the original publisher’s ISBN and is more sought after than the Book Club edition. The Lives of the Kings & Queens of England is an excellent addition to any collection of British history, royal biography or heraldry.
Condition – Very Good
Very good dust jacket with light shelf wear. Purple boards with gilt lettering to the spine are very good. Internally clean overall, though with some light page discoloration from age. Binding sound and square.
