Outpost

Outpost: Stories of the Rhodesian Police is a collection of 41 true stories written by members of the British South Africa Police (BSAP). First published in 1970, the book compiles narratives originally featured in the BSAP magazine, The Outpost, which began as the Police Review in 1911. The tales offer firsthand accounts of the experiences and challenges faced by police officers in Rhodesia, providing a unique perspective on the country’s history.​

The book is enriched with illustrations by Penny Miller, enhancing the storytelling and offering visual insights into the narratives. These stories span various periods, including the Boer and First World Wars, reflecting the diverse experiences of the BSAP officers.
