A desirable early Collins edition of An Autobiography by Agatha Christie, published in 1977 shortly after the author’s death. In this candid and absorbing memoir, Christie reflects on her childhood, marriages, travels, archaeological expeditions with Max Mallowan, and the remarkable career that made her the world’s best-known mystery writer. The book remains one of the most sought-after non-fiction works by Christie and offers fascinating insight into the woman behind Poirot and Miss Marple.
This Collins reprint of An Autobiography by Agatha Christie retains the attractive original olive-green dust jacket and brown cloth boards with gilt titling to the spine. The boards show only minimal wear, while the dust jacket is moderately worn with rubbing and small chips to the extremities. Internally the book is clean and sound, though there is scattered foxing and a hospital prize presentation label affixed to the front endpaper, dated August 1978.
Published by William Collins Sons & Co Ltd, London, 1977. Reprinted 1977.
Condition – Very good in a moderately worn dust jacket.
Brown cloth boards with minimal wear. Internally sound with foxing present and a prize presentation sticker on the front endpaper.
