Bergamo: Immagini Nuove Per Un Volto Antico is an impressive large-format Italian photographic and historical work devoted to the city of Bergamo. Sandro Angelini’s text is paired with the celebrated photography of Mario De Biasi to create a richly illustrated portrait of one of northern Italy’s most beautiful historic cities.
Filled with full-colour photographs of Bergamo’s architecture, streets, churches and surrounding landscape, the book presents both the city’s historic character and its modern identity. It is an attractive and substantial volume, ideal for collectors of Italian travel books, architectural history, photography, and beautifully produced European coffee-table books.
This copy is a large-format yellow cloth-covered hardcover with red lettering to the front board and spine, complete with the original illustrated dust jacket. The book remains in Fine / Like New condition overall, with only minor wear and tear to the dust jacket. There is, however, a neat ink gift inscription on the half-title page. The remainder of the book is clean, bright and well preserved.
