An indispensable reference work for scholars, therapists, psychologists and collectors of Jungian literature, Cross-Currents of Jungian Thought: An Annotated Bibliography by Donald R. Dyer is one of the most comprehensive bibliographic guides devoted to the works of Carl Gustav Jung and the vast body of literature inspired by his theories. Published as part of the prestigious C.G. Jung Foundation series by Shambhala Publications, this important first edition provides researchers with an expertly organised catalogue of hundreds of books, articles and essays relating to analytical psychology.
Rather than offering interpretations of Jung’s work, Dyer has compiled an invaluable research tool, providing concise annotations that help readers identify the scope, significance and focus of each publication. Subjects range across archetypes, dreams, mythology, symbolism, alchemy, religion, psychotherapy, the collective unconscious, individuation, feminine and masculine psychology, and the influence of Jungian thought on philosophy, literature and culture. For students undertaking academic research, practising Jungian analysts, university libraries and serious collectors of psychology, Cross-Currents of Jungian Thought remains a highly useful resource despite the growth of digital databases.
Shambhala Publications has long been recognised for producing authoritative works on psychology, philosophy and spirituality, making Cross-Currents of Jungian Thought particularly desirable to collectors of Jungiana. First editions are becoming increasingly difficult to source, especially in complete condition with the original dust jacket.
An excellent acquisition for collectors of Carl Jung, analytical psychology, psychoanalysis and the history of twentieth-century psychology, Cross-Currents of Jungian Thought belongs on the shelf of anyone with a serious interest in Jungian scholarship or academic reference works.
