Partial Proceedings of the Gamebird Symposium Held in Pretoria 9–11 July 1984 edited by P. le S. Milstein & Elsabé Middleton

An increasingly scarce South African wildlife and gamebird reference, Gamebird Symposium contains the partial proceedings of the Gamebird Symposium held in Pretoria from 9–11 July 1984. Published in 1987 as Supplement 1 to the South African Journal of Wildlife Research, the book brings together specialist papers and research relating to gamebird management, conservation, breeding, hunting, habitat management and wildlife policy in southern Africa.

Edited by P. le S. Milstein and Elsabé Middleton and issued by the Southern African Wildlife Management Association, this 178-page softcover copy of Gamebird Symposium is an important resource for collectors of South African conservation literature, wildlife researchers, game farmers, ornithologists and sporting history enthusiasts. The attractive illustrated cover featuring a gamebird makes it particularly desirable both as a practical reference and as a display item in a South African wildlife collection.
