Services Marketing – People, Technology, Strategy, 6th edition, by Christopher Lovelock (Yale University) and Jochen Wirtz (National University of Singapore), was published by Pearson Prentice Hall, Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, in 2007. This is a first printing of the sixth edition, bound in pictorial hardcover boards.
Services Marketing is organised into fifteen chapters around a new framework for developing effective service marketing strategies. It also includes eleven managerially oriented readings, eight of them new to this edition, and eighteen classroom-tested cases drawn from a wide range of industries and situations, together with bibliographical references and an index.
Christopher Lovelock is widely regarded as one of the founders of services marketing as an academic discipline, and this title has long been a standard text in the field, later continued through further editions by Jochen Wirtz.
A solid reference for business and marketing students, hospitality, tourism and retail managers, and anyone running a service business who wants a thorough grounding in how services are marketed and managed.
