The Ford Tractor Story In Two Parts is a superb matching two-volume set of The Ford Tractor Story Part One: Dearborn to Dagenham 1917–1964 and The Ford Tractor Story Part Two: Basildon to New Holland 1964–1999 by Stuart Gibbard, widely regarded as one of the definitive histories of Ford and Fordson tractors.
Part One, first published in 1998, traces the story of Ford and Fordson tractors from Henry Ford’s earliest agricultural experiments through the Fordson Model F, Model N, E27N, Major and Dexta era, covering the period from Dearborn to Dagenham between 1917 and 1964. Part Two, first published in 1999, continues the story from the introduction of the Ford 6X range in 1964 through to the Basildon-built tractors and the emergence of Ford New Holland up to 1999.
The Ford Tractor Story In Two Parts is richly illustrated throughout with hundreds of photographs, including rare factory images, prototype tractors, colour photographs and period advertising material. These books are an essential reference for collectors, restorers, Fordson enthusiasts, agricultural historians and anyone interested in classic tractors and farm machinery.
Published jointly by Old Pond Publishing and Japonica Press, both hardcovers are in Fine / Like New condition, with clean, bright boards, sharp corners and unmarked interiors. A particularly attractive matching set that would sit well in any tractor, farming or agricultural reference collection.
Condition – Fine / Like New
Both hardcovers are exceptionally well preserved with no notable defects, inscriptions or damage.
