1951 Collins first edition of Eric Williams’ classic POW escape memoir, The Tunnel. A worn but complete copy of this sought-after World War II escape narrative.
1 in stock
Eric Williams’ The Tunnel is a gripping World War II escape memoir and the lesser-known companion volume to his famous work, The Wooden Horse. First published by Collins in 1951, this book recounts the author’s early experiences as a prisoner of war and his attempts to escape from German captivity before the events of the better-known sequel.
This Collins first edition remains an attractive shelf copy despite its wear, bound in the original pale blue cloth boards. The Tunnel is increasingly sought after by collectors of wartime escape literature, RAF memoirs and POW narratives, particularly alongside other Eric Williams titles.
Condition – Fair
