A signed or inscribed book carries the author's own hand, and that connection makes it more desirable, and usually more valuable, than an unsigned copy. Here you will find books signed, inscribed or dedicated by their authors, including association copies with a personal message or a link to a notable recipient. What a signature adds depends on the author, the title, the edition and the nature of the inscription: a signed first edition of a sought-after book is a genuine prize. Provenance and authenticity matter, and we are always happy to talk through what a particular signature means. We are based in Howick, KZN, ship worldwide, and add new signed and inscribed stock regularly. To understand how signatures fit into a book's overall value, see our guide on how to know if your old book is valuable.
