The RSV Interlinear Greek-English New Testament by Reverend Alfred Marshall is a highly respected theological and linguistic reference work designed for students, ministers, biblical scholars, and serious readers of the New Testament. This 1975 third edition presents the authoritative Nestle Greek text alongside a literal English interlinear translation, allowing readers to engage directly with the original Koine Greek while benefiting from accurate English support. Marginal readings from the Revised Standard Version further enhance the usefulness of this scholarly edition.
Published by Samuel Bagster and Sons Ltd, this work became a cornerstone resource for generations of theology students and seminarians studying biblical Greek. The RSV Interlinear Greek-English New Testament also includes valuable supplementary tools such as The Analytical Greek Lexicon and The Englishmans Greek Concordance, making it far more than a simple Bible text. These additions provide grammatical analysis, concordance functionality, and vocabulary assistance that remain useful for advanced study and sermon preparation.
The RSV Interlinear Greek-English New Testament is particularly sought after by collectors of vintage theological works, clergy building reference libraries, and readers interested in textual criticism and biblical translation studies. The durable blue cloth binding with gilt spine lettering gives the book an attractive traditional appearance suitable for both study and display.
Interlinear New Testaments from the Bagster imprint continue to enjoy steady demand due to their scholarly reputation, practical utility, and enduring relevance in Christian academic study. A desirable addition to any theological library, seminary collection, or serious biblical studies bookshelf.
