The Golden Story Book in Colour – Delightful 1969 Collins children’s story collection, richly illustrated in colour by Felicitas Kuhn, in original dust jacket.
1 in stock
A charming 1969 English language edition of The Golden Story Book in Colour, beautifully illustrated throughout by Austrian children’s illustrator Felicitas Kuhn. Published by Collins, London and Glasgow, this large-format hardcover contains a wonderful selection of classic children’s stories accompanied by Kuhn’s distinctive, colourful artwork.
Bound in original blue cloth with gilt titling and decoration to the spine, the book remains an attractive copy with clean internal pages and bright illustrations. The original pictorial dust jacket of The Golden Story Book in Colour is present and displays particularly well from the front, making it an appealing shelf copy despite the noted faults. Ideal for collectors of vintage children’s books, Collins illustrated editions, and fans of Felicitas Kuhn’s nostalgic mid-century artwork.
Condition – Very Good
Original blue cloth boards with gilt decoration and lettering remain very good. Internally clean and tidy with only light, scattered foxing. Dust jacket present but with significant loss and tearing at the lower spine, edge wear and small chips to extremities. Front panel remains bright and attractive. Overall a good, presentable copy in a worn but original jacket.
