Children's classics are among the most collectible books of all, and among the most likely to surprise people with their value. Early editions of beloved titles, in good condition, can be worth a great deal, and condition matters enormously here, because children's books were made to be handled. Our shelf spans classic stories, illustrated editions and vintage favourites, from affordable reading copies to scarce early printings. Some of the finest books to pass through our hands have been children's classics: an 1867 and an 1869 edition of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, an 1872 Through the Looking Glass, and a 1906 first edition Peter Pan. Value comes down to edition, condition, illustrations and demand. We are based in Howick, KZN, ship worldwide, and add new stock regularly. If you have old children's books and wonder whether they are valuable, read our guide on how to know if your old book is valuable.
